Germany

Germany is a fine destination year-round, but most people visit between May and September when sunny skies are most likely and much of life moves outdoors. Beer gardens and cafes bustle at all hours; outdoor events and festivals enliven cities and villages; and hiking, cycling and swimming (in lakes or pools) are popular pursuits - at least as long as the weather plays along. Remember that rain is a possibility in any month. The flipside of summer travel is, of course, larger crowds at museums and other attractions and traffic jams at places such as Lake Constance. Accommodation needn’t be hard to come by unless you’re drawn to beach and mountain resorts popular with German holiday-makers.
The shoulder seasons (from March to May and from October to early November) bring fewer tourists, lower accommodation prices and often surprisingly pleasant weather. In April and May, when flowers and fruit trees are in bloom, it can be mild and sunny. Indian summers that stretch well into autumn are not uncommon.
With the exception of winter sports, activities between November and early March are likely to focus more on culture and city life. In these months, skies tend to be gloomy and the mercury often drops below freezing. On the plus side, there are fewer visitors and shorter queues (except in the winter resorts). Just pack the right clothes and keep in mind that there are only six to eight hours of daylight. In December the sun (if there is any) sets around 15:30.

Paris

With its museums, monuments… the city of Paris offers a rich cultural and touristic life covering all the majors artistic disciplines.

Paris, Notre Dame, it is there between the two banks of the river that it all began during the second Iron Age, when the Parisii settled in the city.
The heart of Paris : a bronze plaque marks the zero mile for all the country’s roads. It is also the starting point for most visits of Paris…

The many museums of Paris are fascinating gateways to knowledge, creation and human adventure. There are the”greats” which give the visitor the opportunity to see some of the greatest works of art ever created by human genius. There are the “classics”, the former artists’ workshops…
Built along the axis created by the Seine, the thirty-five bridges are the soul of Paris and, along with the monuments, they have contributed to its extraordinary wealth. They are real monuments representing great historical events and meeting places.

Paris is one of the European capitals which has the greatest number of parks, woods and gardens.
Here are the main woods and gardens of Paris, and also the cemeteries like Père Lachaise, which is the biggest park in town…

The greatest jem that Paris hold is the Louvre!

The Louvre Museum in Paris, France, is the most visited and one of the oldest, largest and most famous art galleries and museums in the world.  The Lourvre has a long history of artistic and historic conservation, from the Capetian dynasty until today.  The building was previously a royal palace, and is famous for holding several of the world’s most prestigious works of art, such as Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, The Virgin and child with St. Anne, Madonna of the Rocks and Alexandros of Antioch’s Venus de Milo.

London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, opened in 1999 and was the largest observation wheel in the world until the opening of The Star of Nanchang in May 2006 (the record will in turn be broken by the Singapore Flyer in early 2008 when it becomes operational). The London Eye stands 135 metres (443 feet) high on the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the River Thames in Lambeth, London, England, between Westminster and Hungerford Bridges.

Visitors are treated to a gently paced half-hour ride in space age capsules, that are fully conditioned, holding 25 people each, hopping off and on as the wheel moves.  Unlike the usual Ferris Wheel, which has a square base, the London Eye is constructed like a bicycle wheel, standing 7 stories high!  It is the 4th tallest building in London.  The view is most magical if you visit the Eye at night time.  After the Millenium Celebration in London, the Eye became a World Wide Symbol of Good Times!

Spa in the mountains

In the past couple of years combining active vacations with spa procedures became more and more popular.  For those who simply cannot imagine their ski/snowboarding getaway without a variety of saunas, pools, massages, and other perks of life, there are at least two possibilities:  to go to a thermal health resort that is located near the mountain ski/snowboarding resort, or choose a SPA-hotel on a usual mountain ski resort.

To rest actively and at the same time spoil yourself can be done on many alpine resorts, most of which are concentrated in Austria and Sweden. From all the countries with thermal waters and springs that are just near the mountain resorts the luckiest one is Austria -  probably because it is already so hard to find a mountain that doesn’t have a lift.

One of the most contemporary as well as oldest thermal resorts of Austria happens to be close to the popular Zelden.  Lengenfeld got his second life just three years ago, when a rapidly growing in accreditation SPA- center Aqua Dome was built.  The new complex turned out to be very spacious, 1500 people. Pools and all Heal procedures use waters gathered from the hot streams, obtained from depth of 1865 meters.  Lengenfeld is known to Austria as one of thermal resorts since the 16th century, and the actual land leads history since the Roman times.  Waterfalls, polls, numerous saunas and steam rooms ( finish, and herbal saunas, “ice land”, salt waters, Turkish saunas and so on), jakuzzi, restaurants, shops, kids city - all this is included in the complex, which is adjacent to the contemporary hotel.  In the childrens part of the park waterfalls are built and fountains, a big pool with water slides and sand shores, and also traditional water attractions.  Under the ceiling of the Aqua Dome  are located a fitness club, SPA-center, which offers all new procedures for health and beauty, medicine center, and also a whole floor is built for the VIP-clients.

:) All the beautiful architecture, that lets you admire the surrounding mountains and starry skies, while relaxing in the thermal waters, comfort, and even the decorations are ecologically clean materials..  the only thing left to worry about is that to get to the highways of Zelden it takes whole 10 minutes!

Just as any seaside city, Copenhagen, starts its history with a small fishing village by the name of “Havn” (harbour), settled on the cozy sea gulf.. First documentations show that the city was built nearly a thousand years ago, by the middle of the 12th century Bishop Absalon founded and fortified the city, three years after which the city got its name, Copenhagen, which in translation means “the trading center,” and it is incredible that such a small settlement developed into the blooming capital of Denmark.

Today Copenhagen is not only the official, but also a cultural capital of Denmark.  The city holds numerous historical monuments, museums, and theaters.  Any tourist should take the time to visit Amalienburg, a royal complex and a present residency of the royal family.  Besides the historical beauty of the capital, this city is famous for its high quality level of life.

Just as New York associates with the Statue of Liberty, and Moscow brings a picture of the Kremlin, Copenhagen is forever tied to the bronze statue of a Murmaid - sculpted in human size in 1913.    It could be called a visiting card of the city - every guest feels  the pleasant obligation to see this symbol of Copenhagen.  Sculptor Eduard Erikson’s masterpeice was inspired by the famous tale of Hans Christian Andersen (one of my personal favorites). The finances for the artwork was provided by a beer brewer Karl Yakobson.

The second huge tourist attraction is the Park Tivoli - a hit of Copenhagen.  It was first open in 1843, and during the 150 years it was visited by approximately 270 million people. Currently it is visited by 4 million tourists on a daily basis.  The park contains  bright combination of flower gardens, rollercoasters for the kids, restaurants, theaters, and concert stages.

Did you know that in 1962 the street Sreget became the fist pedestrian zone in the world?

Denmark has approximately 5,4 million inhabitants - this amounts to roughly 1 % of the total EU population.

Once you arrive in Italy, the center of the arts, the Mother and Father of Renaissanse, where do you start?!  You know of the magnificent wonders that this country holds, so where to go first?  Those decisions are rather hard, especially if you have, oh, about two weeks to enjoy your status of a guest.

I started my journey in Rome.  I would strongly suggest to find a place to stay that is near the metro, or you’ll have to walk great distances.  We found a family that was renting their apartment right next to the Vatican and Sistene Chapel, another  huge milestone to cross!

While in Rome do as the Romans do, have a fresh baked pizza and a glass of wine before embarking on any long exhibitions..  There are also services that allow you to take a bus to Pompei, i highly recomend taking it.

If you have some time take a train to Florence, Bella Firenze as they call it, or the Beautiful Florence.     There you’ll find the famous Ufizi Gallery and the Santa Maria Bassilica.  And you will fall in love with this city, i promise!

If paradise is what you’re looking for, Cyprus, the island of Aphrodite, is a perfect get away.  I first visited in 1996, since then, i make it a point to go back at least once a year.  Besides the natural beauty and the history content of the island, Cyprus works as a healer.  It’s air is ionized, so after a week or so of living there, eating the freshest natural foods and swimming in Mediterenean sea, your mind and body is utterly stress free, replenished and strong.

darband.jpgtehran-road.jpgAbout 4 years ago I took a trip to Iran. I was very apprehensive at first and didn’t know what to expect. Once I was there I took to it immediately. Wonderful food and warm friendly people. I had to wear a head scarf but it was winter so I didn’t mind so much.

I can’t wait to make another trip and spend more time there….

Just because we are an internet society these days and can do everything online, does this mean that there should be no customer service any more?

If I am looking for a cheap ticket to Europe, or a low fare to Africa and I find it on the web and don’t interact with an actual human being,  what do I do if I need something or there is a problem?

We try to assist you with any issues you may have via live chat and email or even telephone, we are trying to bring customer service back to the internet!
